The prong set technique, featured to the left, is expertly executed and is a very secure setting. Every stone is set just right in its correct position. This layout configuration is the ‘Classic’
Mark of Excellence design.
‘Prong setting’ technique utilizes a smaller diamond size than the alternative ‘channel setting’ technique. ‘Prong setting’ cost less, without any deviation in material quality and design quality.

Channel setting is one of the most difficult settings. There are no prongs to hold the stones in place. As gold is hammered down, it spreads. As the gold is compressed and spreads on both sides of the diamond, it squeezes the diamond from both sides and locks it into place. This technique allows the jeweler to use the largest stones possible for the mounting! The look is spectacular because of the setting tecnique and you cannot get any larger diamonds in the piece.

This stone setting technique is where the design began in 1993. When it comes to setting stones, ‘Prong Setting’ is the most used technique today. My NEW layout is more precise and very secure because of my CAD drawings and the 3-D printing of my waxes! The diamonds required for this technique are more visable, because the quality of the diamonds. This piece is more affordable without a sacrifice in quality. Yet the technique produces spectacular results. The sparkle, dazzle and diamond fire contrast very well with the gold metal color. The Classic the original in simple elegance.
